Which one is richer, Tom ( MS ) or Mark ( FB )

Here it goes :

Now guys, I'm pretty sure some of you have been thinking about this matter. Which one is richer , Tom Anderson  *the founder of Myspace or Marc Zuckerberg *the founder of Facebook.

So I dig around a litte bit in a land of knowledge called Google and try to find anything related to this.


1) WHO and What ?

Mark Zuckerberg is the founder and CEO of Facebook, which he started in his college dorm room in 2004 with roomates Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes.

Zuckerberg is responsible for setting the overall direction and product strategy for Facebook. He leads the design of Facebook’s service and development of its core technology and infrastructure.

Earlier in life, Zuckerberg developed a music recommendation system called Synapse and a peer-to-peer client called Wirehog. However, he abandoned both to pursue new projects.

Zuckerberg attended Harvard University and studied computer science before founding Facebook.

While at Harvard, Zuckerberg created Facemash, a website that compared students’ dorm photos side-by-side in a fashion similar to HOT or NOT. Harvard administration was not amused, and Zuckerberg faced subsequent disciplinary action. Less than three months later, he launched Facebook.

Tom Anderson is the President and Co-Founder of MySpace. All newly created MySpace accounts include Tom as a default “friend” and therefore he’s become known as the face of the company. Anderson attended the University of California, Berkeley, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and English. He then attended the University of California, Los Angeles and received a master’s degree in film - critical studies. Many questions have come up about when Tom was actually born.

In 2003, Tom and a few computer programmers set up the first pages of MySpace and the site grew from there

2) Estimated net worth :

Tom Anderson, one of three founders of MySpace has a net worth of $845 million dollars (U.S). Tom made a lot of money from MySpace through advertising revenue, but the bulk of his wealth was generated from the sale of MySpace for $580 million (U.S.) to Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. He is employed at MySpace now as a "Strategic Advisor", which provides for him a substantial salary, which can only add to his net worth.



To my surprise, Tom couldn't beat Mark ! That's quite impressive.

Read it carefully, its a bit funny how all the texts translated into our beloved local language , Bahasa Melayu.

Facebook, hmm, registered my account last year, just because I was extremely b0red with myspace . So does myspace, registered several years ago just because i was extremely bored with friendster ;P

What's so great about facebook? Well , the tagline is a community site that helps you connect and share with the people in you life . Perfect enough to explaine the reason of its existence.

For me, yes , it does helps me to make a new relationship, find old friends and cousins and even siblings ( my sisters are studying at singapore and I seldom contact with them ).

At first, I was very particular about choosing and approving requests. Doesnt matter if its friends req, apps req whatsoever. Just like susudalambotol, my ms's account is full with strangers . So I keep my friends around 1-200 something.

Two or three weeks ago, I found an application similar with mafia wars, mobster and so on. I tried to play and found it was quite addictive. The damn app needs me to have more friends so that my character will be more tougher etc.. I even joined a group just to increase my friends list without thinking the consequences. And then, walla.. starting from that day, I'll received tonnes of req per day, not tonnes la, around 50 - 100 to be more specific.

Rite now, damn it, total friends in my acc is 1,023 and 80% of them are strangers .
